Community volunteers Bill and Gay Hannah, who have lived in Cypress for 14 years, will be honored with Cypress College’s Americana Awards this month. The awards, presented by the Cypress College Foundation, honor those who have contributed to their community.

The Hannahs have been actively involved with the Boys and Girls Club, Cypress High School athletic board and Cypress Cultural Arts Commission. Gay Hannah also established the first athletic scholarship program for youth who are planning to attend vocational schools. The awards will be presented at a Feb. 27 banquet.
