* Amgen biotechnology company has announced the promotions of three senior finance executives. Chief Financial Officer Kathryn E. Falberg has been promoted to senior vice president. Marc de Garidel, senior director of financial planning and analysis, has been promoted to vice president, controller and chief accounting officer, and Kurt Gustafson moves from assistant treasurer to treasurer.

* Countrywide Credit Industries Inc. of Chatsworth, which bills itself as the second-largest U.S. mortgage lender, has hired Anand Bhattacharya as chief fixed-income strategist and executive vice president in capital markets.

Bhattacharya, 39, began working in Countrywide’s capital markets subsidiary on Feb. 1, and will direct development of new investment products related to mortgages and home-equity loans. He will report to David Sambol, the subsidiary’s president.

Bhattacharya was formerly a managing director at Imperial Credit Industries Inc., a Torrance-based finance company. Prior to that, he headed structured finance and fixed-income research at Prudential Securities Inc. in New York.

* Litton Industries of Woodland Hills has announced the promotion of Edward A. Rollin to vice president of internal operations for the information systems group.

Rollin joined the aerospace and defense firm in 1998 as director of Business Development Operations for Litton ISG. Previously, Rollin was a senior program manager with TRW Data Technologies Division. He has a degree in mathematics from UCLA and a certificate from USC’s Managerial Policy Institute.

* Intellicell Corp. has announced the appointment of Michael Hedge as executive vice president and general manager.

Hedge, who has more than 15 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, comes to Intellicell from Cellstar, a distributor of wireless communications products. He will work at Intellicell’s headquarters in Chatsworth and be responsible for strategic growth planning.
