Born to Chop

Any of the full-tang stainless steel chef’s knives from Chicago Cutlery’s new Legacy Forged line would be a great basic knife for your collection. There are 6-inch and 10-inch models, but I prefer the 8-inch for its balance and ease of handling. It has a good heft, and the redwood handle fits nicely in the hand. The Legacy Forged line has received a Consumers Digest “Best Buy” award.
