Your Feb. 10 article regarding the Y2K problem made no mention of the most fearful aspect of this worldwide “glitch.” Recently it was reported that Russia has requested $3 billion to fix that country’s computers--some of which control their nuclear arsenal! Did the world survive the Cold War only to be wiped out by an uncontrolled nuclear missile launch? Now that’s scary!

Why not just set the clock on your computer back to 1995? Your computer doesn’t know what year it is unless you tell it. Could it be that simple? Worst case scenario: Your files come out dated 1995.
