Myriel Skonberg couldn’t be happier about the city’s newest post office, one that many residents still don’t know about. “It is absolutely wonderful,” Skonberg said. Rather than driving to the main post office, Skonberg, 82, can now walk four blocks to the post office at 634 S. Brea Blvd. The office opened in October but the clerks report that few know about the place. There are no banners outside the building yet to indicate that there’s a post office inside Mainly Seconds, a crafts store that has a contract to operate the post office. The office is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
