Murder-for-Hire Plot Draws Life Sentence

Daniel Rocha of San Antonio was sentenced to life without parole by a Sarasota, Fla., circuit court judge for his first-degree murder conviction in the Nov. 7, 1997, killing of Sheila Bellush, a mother of quadruplets. Rocha was convicted of hiring another man to kill Bellush, 35, who was shot and had her throat slashed at her Sarasota home. Her quadruplets, three sons and a daughter were in the house during the killing.
