WCC Pairings Are Announced

The Pepperdine women earned the No. 1 seeding in the West Coast Conference tournament at Santa Clara and will open at noon Thursday against No. 8 San Francisco. Loyola, seeded No. 6, will play No. 3 Saint Mary’s at 6 p.m. Thursday. Semifinals in the tournament are Friday and the final Sunday.

In the men’s conference tournament, also at Santa Clara, Pepperdine was seeded No. 2 behind Gonzaga and will open against No. 7 San Francisco at noon Saturday. Loyola, seeded No. 5, will play No. 4 Santa Clara 30 minutes after the 6 p.m. Saturday matchup between San Diego and Saint Mary’s. Tournament semifinals are Sunday and the final Monday.
