Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro Inc. said Monday it had completed its bid for control of a Singapore electronics distribution company, paying $232 million for 74.2% of Electronic Resources Ltd.

The offer brings Ingram’s overall investment in the company to $303 million and increases its stake in the firm to 95.1%, giving it a toehold in Asia’s relatively undeveloped technology distribution.

More than a year ago, Ingram Micro acquired 20.9% of Electronic Resources, which provides Ingram’s sole presence in Asia, excluding Japan.
