AT&T; Chairman Will Speak at Reagan Forum

AT&T; Chairman and Chief Executive C. Michael Armstrong will address the Reagan Forum at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum near Simi Valley on March 12.

Armstrong is the first business leader chosen to address the forum, a quarterly speaker series sponsored by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation. The forum program previously has featured speeches by individuals from government, politics, the media and academia such as Librarian of Congress James Billington, U.S. Sen. John McCain, ABC newswoman Diane Sawyer and former ambassador to the United Nations Jeanne Kirkpatrick.

Tickets for the Armstrong speech are $35 per person, which includes a buffet lunch after the 11 a.m. address. Tickets are available by calling 522-2977.

Armstrong was elected chairman of the board and CEO of AT&T; in November 1997. AT&T; has more than 80 million customers, 119,000 employees and some $51 billion in revenues.

Armstrong came to AT&T; from Hughes Electronics, where he had been chairman and CEO for six years. Prior to Hughes, Armstrong spent more than three decades with IBM.
