West Coast Bancorp Net Income Down 20%

West Coast Bancorp, based in Tustin, reported fourth-quarter net income of $365,000, or 4 cents a share, 20% lower than the $459,000, or 5 cents a share, posted a year earlier. Net income for the year totaled $1.3 million, or 14 cents a share, unchanged from 1997. Total assets increased 18% to $153.8 million from $130.6 million.
