A look at the candidates to be Laker interim coach: LARRY DREW

Drew has served as an assistant under Randy Pfund and Del Harris, and is in his seventh season as a Laker assistant. Drew was also an advance scout for the Lakers through the 1994-95 season. He also is the head coach for the Lakers’ entry in the Summer Pro League.

KURT RAMBIS

Rambis is in his fifth season as a Laker assistant. Rambis primarily works with the Laker big men, provides a link to the Laker glory days of the 1980s and is known among players as the Laker “toughness” coach.
