Part of Police Racism Report Is Withdrawn

Britain’s Labor government faced new embarrassment over a report about police racism when it was forced to withdraw a section that named secret informants. The two-volume report of an inquiry into how police bungled the investigation into the 1993 racist slaying of black teenager Stephen Lawrence set off a wave of national self-criticism.
