Edwin Joseph Parker; Computer Specialist

Thousand Oaks resident Edwin Joseph Parker died Wednesday at home after a lengthy illness. He was 43.

Parker was born April 3, 1955, in Los Angeles, where he was raised.

He became a computer specialist and worked at Embassy Pictures before moving to Ventura County, said his wife, Jill Parker.

In 1990, Parker moved to Thousand Oaks and worked at Bishop Graphics in Agoura Hills as a technical advisor. Since 1994, Parker worked at Studios USA in Universal City, keeping the company’s computerized financial programs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother and stepfather, Pat and Joe Cadenhead; his father and stepmother, Edwin James and Rita Parker; and a sister, Maryann Gattinella.

There will be a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. March 11 in the chapel at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Mortuary in Westlake. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Parker’s name to the St. Maximilian Building Fund at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Thousand Oaks.
