Pepperdine Advances to WCC Final

Rasheeda Clark and Kate Crane combined to score 53 points to lead top-seeded Pepperdine over Portland, 80-70, in the semifinals of the West Coast Conference tournament Friday night at Santa Clara.

The Waves will face St. Mary’s, a 66-64 winner over Santa Clara, in Sunday’s championship game at 1 p.m.

Pepperdine Coach Mark Trakh was named the WCC coach of the year for the first time. The Waves are 21-7 and went 11-3 in conference.
