From Times Wire Reports

Rescuers called off their ground search after more than 200 volunteers, battling snow and darkness, combed a circle 3 miles across through dense woods, lakes and swamps looking for 9-year-old Corey Anderson. A helicopter equipped with a heat-seeking infrared device flew over the area before dawn and again in the evening, hoping to pinpoint the Norton, Mass., boy’s location. The search is to continue today. Corey disappeared Thursday in a snowstorm while looking for his dog. His parents and police are hoping the fourth-grader took shelter in a barn or other warm place as a snowstorm bore down on this town 30 miles southeast of Boston. Police do not suspect foul play.
