Gunmen hiding in an alley of this divided city fired about two dozen bullets at a passing van Monday, wounding two Jewish settlers.

Palestinian militants were suspected of carrying out the attack.

In clashes that erupted after the incident, Israeli soldiers wounded two Palestinian youngsters.

Two women were wounded in the attack on the van, one of them seriously. The assault took place on a winding road connecting the Jewish settlement of Kiryat Arba and the center of Hebron.
