The city is submitting a grant proposal to obtain $25,000 for the Youth 20/20 program, which provides career assistance and character-building activities to help the city’s youth. The City Council hopes to eventually spin off the program to stand on its own, and winning the grant from the California Healthy Cities and Communities program would be an important step in that process, according to Assistant City Manager Tami Piscotty.
