Israelis Raze Houses in Border Village

From Times Wire Reports

Israeli troops demolished 14 houses in a village in southern Lebanon. A military spokesman in Jerusalem said the houses in the border village of Arnoun were destroyed because they were used in attacks on Israeli troops and their Lebanese militia allies. An Israeli soldier was wounded in a bomb attack near the razed houses this week. It is the second time in less than two weeks that Israeli authorities have demolished houses in Arnoun, about 2 1/2 miles from the Israeli border in the “security zone” Israel occupies to shield its northern towns from guerrilla attacks.
