The Ties That Bond

Regarding Jennifer Miller’s complaint about the offensiveness of the male bonding scene in “Saving Private Ryan” (Letters, Dec. 27):

If what men talked about in groups didn’t contain tales of humiliating and objectifying young women, it couldn’t accurately be called “bonding.”
