GARDEN GROVE

The City Council recently reapproved an assistance program for first-time home buyers using Orange County Mortgage Credit Certificates. Last year, the program enabled about 300 first-time home buyers to purchase a condominium, townhouse or single-family home. The plan allows homeowners to take an annual credit against their federal income tax of up to 15% of the annual interest paid on the mortgage. Information: (714) 741-5040.
