Color-Coded Trash Schedule

Share

* Two further issues with the new Thousand Oaks trash system:

First, the schedule that was distributed is color-coded only (no text). The shades of gray (recycle) and green (yard waste) are such that I, with some color vision problems, cannot distinguish between them. Doesn’t this violate the Americans With Disabilities Act?

Second, I travel a lot. Previously, if I were leaving on trash collection day, I could leave bagged trash to be removed totally. Not any more--and I’m not about to leave the barrel out for days (for various reasons).
