Police are alerting the public--particularly senior citizens and the Latino community--about a pair of con artists offering to share a bogus winning lottery ticket. Last week the pair snatched $7,000 in cash from a 62-year-old Fullerton woman. One of the crooks approached the victim outside a pharmacy on Harbor Boulevard. Speaking only Spanish, he claimed to have a ticket worth $800,000 but said he was afraid to claim the prize because he is an illegal immigrant. The man promised to share his winnings with her if she lent him money for attorney fees but ran off with it instead.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Police Department at (714) 738-6714.
