SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
Capistrano Unified School District will hold its Winter Professional Development Academy on Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at Aliso Niguel High School, 28000 Terrace View Drive, Aliso Viejo. The professional development day for teachers will feature workshops on such subjects as literacy, mathematics, technology and special needs children.
The district had its first such academy last summer, and more than 800 teachers voluntarily signed up. The cost for the day for teachers outside the district is $25. Information: (949) 489-7128.
