Group Forms Committee on Insurance, Labor Laws

Mindful of potential changes in legislation governing insurance and some labor issues, a key San Fernando Valley business group has formed a committee on insurance and human resources.

The inaugural meeting of the committee, formed by the Valley Industry and Commerce Assn., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Amgen in Thousand Oaks.

Issues to be addressed include changes in health insurance benefits and workers compensation, the welfare-to-work program, the minimum wage and overtime pay.
