Seniors are being asked to pay more for meals served at South County senior centers. South County Senior Services officials are raising the donation rate from $2 to $2.50. Officials of the nonprofit agency say that government funding has not increased since 1989 and that the funding accounts for less than half of their costs. No senior will be turned away if he or she cannot pay the full amount, and the increase does not apply to the Meals on Wheels program. Information: (949) 498-0400.
