LA PALMA

The city is working out a deal to extend El Rancho Verde Park westward to Barbi Lane by leasing land under Southern California Edison’s power lines. The City Council last week approved $101,600 to make improvements to the area, including landscaping and irrigation. The park is part of the Edison right of way, a green path that cuts through the middle of the city and serves as a popular walking spot. It will be renamed La Palma Promenade.
