In Nod to 4th, Sacks SFO Celebrates the Spirit of 76%
David Sacks opened his first Sacks SFO store off the Venice boardwalk in 1977. Since then, he has expanded to six locations and the chain has become one of the best sources for low-priced California contemporary fashions.
Many of the store’s labels can be found in department and specialty stores--at much higher prices.
But this weekend, the SFO stores are having a 76%-off sale.
Here’s how it works: Men’s cargo pants that retail for $68 are marked at $9.99, the regular SFO price.
But when you buy one pair, you get a second pair for $2.40, which is 76% off the regular SFO price. You don’t have to buy the same items--you can mix and match. Buy one, and any second item of equal or lower price gets 76% extra off.
Some whimsical unisex EMR scrub outfits that retail for $55 are $17.99--and with the sale a second set is $4.50. Some rayon georgette flood-length pants that are normally $68 will be priced at $19, and $4.80 with the 76% discount. The sale begins today and ends Monday.
There are two SFO stores in the Valley: 1421 W. Olive Ave., Burbank, (818) 972-2797; and 12021 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, (818) 506-4787. Other locations are in Culver City, Hollywood, Long Beach and West Hollywood.
Weekend Sale: Designer Interiors Warehouse’s bargain prices get even better starting today. A chaise that retails for $2,000, and is regularly $1,290 here, will sell this weekend for $950. Some unusual glass and iron tables that sell elsewhere for $1,200, and are usually $690 here, are down to $450. And an Italian marble dining table retailing at $1,800, and usually selling here for $1,090, drops to $890. 9132 Jordan Ave., Chatsworth. (818) 709-9918.
