The new state budget that was signed this week includes funding for two lunch shelters at city elementary schools and development of George Washington Park.
Henry and Lincoln elementary schools will receive new lunch shelters for $120,000 each, and the park will be developed with two children’s play areas, a gazebo, flower gardens and security lighting for $400,000, according to Assemblyman Lou Correa’s office.
