Cable Car Accident Victims Buried
From Times Wire Reports
Nearly the entire population of a tiny French village gathered for the funeral of three victims of a cable car accident that killed 20 people. Shops and public offices in Saint-Etienne-en-Devoluy were closed in mourning. The three coffins were carried by ski school monitors to the village church, where a crowd of 500 people overflowed outside. The other 17 victims from Thursday’s accident were buried in their hometowns in the southern Alps region.
