Man Executed for Torture and Murder

A man condemned for kidnapping and torturing six women, including a retarded woman whose body parts he fed to his other victims, was executed by injection. Gary Heidnik, 55, was a disabled Army veteran who made a fortune in the stock market and ordained himself bishop of his own church. He abducted, imprisoned and raped six women in the basement of his Philadelphia home in 1986 and 1987; two of them died.
