Coca-Cola Co. may shift some advertising for its flagship brand to New York-based McCann-Erickson Worldwide, the trade publication Advertising Age said. McCann lost the bulk of that prestigious business six years ago to Creative Artists Agency, then run by agent Michael Ovitz. A CAA spinoff, Edge Creative in Santa Monica, currently handles the Coke brand. . . . Santa Monica-based Duncan & Associates, which has handled Albertson’s Inc.’s advertising since 1995, is adding American Stores Co. units Lucky supermarkets and Sav-on and Osco drug stores to its client roster. Albertson’s recently completed its acquisition of American Stores. . . . Santa Barbara-based Mentor Corp., which is launching the first-ever TV ads for breast implants, awarded its media-buying account to Newport Beach-based Mediaspot Inc. Billings weren’t disclosed.
