THQ Named Video Game Licensee for ‘Power Rangers’

THQ Inc., Calabasas, announced it has reached an agreement with Saban Licensing naming THQ as the video game licensee of Fox Family Worldwide’s “Power Rangers” property through June 2004 for all console platforms.

The agreement covers North and South America, Europe and certain other countries. THQ plans to feature the top-ranked children’s television series in games for leading console platforms, including those from Sony and Nintendo. The first games featuring the new license are scheduled for fall 2000.

Fox Family Worldwide is a fully integrated global family entertainment company that develops, acquires, produces, broadcasts and distributes television series, specials and motion pictures. Saban Licensing is a marketing subsidiary of Fox.

THQ develops, publishes and distributes interactive entertainment software worldwide for a variety of hardware platforms including PC CD-ROM and those manufactured by Nintendo and Sony.
