For the next three weeks, would-be writers may learn from professional Marna Simons how to get work published. Simons, writing since 1980, has had more than 300 pieces accepted for publication, some in national magazines and newspapers. The classes will focus on turning a great idea into a story, editing, manuscript preparation, coping with rejection and marketing. The free three-session workshop begins today, with sessions also on July 21 and 28, from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. at the Orange Public Library, 101 N. Center St. Stop by or call (714) 288-2410 to register.
