Pointe Anaheim Reflects Future

Congratulations to Anaheim, Pointe Anaheim and the Walt Disney Co. for coming to an agreement that will benefit Anaheim and Orange County for years to come. Pointe Anaheim will be a welcome addition to the Anaheim resort area.

This initial approval by the City Council not only opens the way for this $500-million project, but also means thousands of new jobs and millions of dollars in tax revenues to our community.

This decision will also open windows and doors of opportunity for other business development.

In recent years, Anaheim has had many milestones, including the Arrowhead Pond, Disney’s award of a National Hockey League franchise, Disney’s purchase of the Angels, the expansion of the Anaheim Convention Center, and the building of Disney’s California Adventure.

Either the city or the Walt Disney Co. initiated all of these.

The development of Pointe Anaheim, by a new organization of developers and investors, is sure to get the attention of others. It will show them that Anaheim is open to their ideas and desires to start or move a business or project into our community.
