STANTON
The City Council recently accepted a bid from Irwindale-based Mariposa Horticultural Enterprises to maintain street median landscapes. For $745 a month, crews will work on the 14 street medians on Beach Boulevard and several others on Katella Avenue, said city Development Services Director Mark Lloyd. The contract with Mariposa will save the city a projected $130,860 a year in maintenance-related costs.
