The Community Services and Recreation Department recently received 100 bicycle helmets from the county health care agency for distribution to children. The helmets were awarded through a grant from the agency’s Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention Program, which is funded by fines assessed through the state’s bicycle helmet law.
