Flooded Nevada County Declared Disaster Area

WASHINGTON —
President Clinton declared a Nevada county hit by severe storms and flash flooding earlier this month a disaster area, paving the way for federal recovery aid, the White House said Tuesday.
The president’s action makes federal funding available to local governments in Clark County on a cost-sharing basis to repair public facilities damaged by the storms and flooding that struck in mid-July, the White House said in a statement.
