ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS
Interpore Cross International: The Irvine medical device company reported net income of $1.1 million, or 8 cents a share, for the second quarter, contrasted with a net loss of $4.3 million, or 31 cents a share, for the second quarter of 1998. The second-quarter loss a year ago included $4.5 million in charges associated with Interpore’s merger in May 1998 with Cross Medical Products and the subsequent restructuring. Sales grew 32% to a record $9.6 million from $7.3 million.
