Leo A. Daly Names New Design Director

Leo A. Daly, the international planning, architecture and engineering firm based in Los Angeles, named Alexander M. Ward vice president and director of design. Ward will guide the overall design direction of the office and will act as the design leader for individualprojects. Ward was associate partner at Kohn Pedersen Fox in New York for 10 years and won national awards for his work, including Procter & Gamble’s headquarters in Cincinnati. Leo A. Daly, one of the largest architecture and engineering firms in the country, is the executive architect of the new Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles.

* M2 Inc., a San Francisco-based consultant brokerage firm with new offices in Los Angeles, named five vice presidents to join its Southern California office.

Cheryl Arnold, a financial services specialist, will concentrate on Fortune 500 and emerging-growth companies in Orange County and Los Angeles.

Cynthia Kistler will focus on entertainment and the financial services sector.

Mitchell Kobara will concentrate on service sectors throughout Southern California.

Marc Mulay, a specialist in small- growth firms and medical devices, will focus on those industries in Los Angeles and Orange counties.

Beverly Sumwalt will be in charge of the health-care industry throughout Southern California.
