Microsemi Corp.: The Santa Ana semiconductor company reported a net loss of $670,000, or 6 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter, which included a charge of $1.2 million for acquired research and development. Net income for the prior-year period was $2.3 million, or 20 cents a share. Sales for the quarter ended July 4 rose 24% to $48.8 million.
