Judge Johnson
I noted with sadness the obituary of Frank M. Johnson, the distinguished federal judge in Montgomery, Ala. (July 24). As one who had the honor of appearing before Judge Johnson, I honor his memory not only for ending segregation in Alabama, but also for revolutionizing care for the mentally ill and retarded citizens of this country and ensuring that prisoners in state penitentiaries receive medical care.
