Trimedyne Reports Loss, Revenue Drop

Trimedyne Inc., the Irvine manufacturer of surgical lasers said it lost $1.1 million, or 10 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter. Net income of $2.1 million, or 19 cents a share, for the year-earlier period included $3.6 million from the sale of a patent license. Revenue declined 22% to $1.4 million.
