Pharmanex, a research company that develops nutritional supplements, has moved its corporate and research and development headquarters from Simi Valley to the San Francisco Bay area.
Company officials said the move places Pharmanex closer to key research and academic centers, including Stanford University and UC San Francisco.
“We believe this move provides Pharmanex with greater access to the vast biotechnology resources available in the Bay Area,” said company President William McGlashan Jr. “We have always had a strong foundation in science. This foundation will be well complemented through our move to one of the world’s centers of health sciences.”
Officials said about 20 people were employed by the company in Simi Valley, and most of them were transferred to the new location.
