The Southern California Law Enforcement Torch Run will pass through the city today about 3:30 p.m. The run is part of the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics, which begin June 11. The run began Monday at the U.S.-Mexico border and will conclude at Long Beach State, the site of the summer games. More than 3,400 police officers are involved in the run, including 10 from the Laguna Beach Police Department. A second torch is being carried from San Luis Obispo County; the two torches will be used to light the flame at the stadium in Long Beach. Information: (949) 497-0387.
