Jim Murray Golf Classic Tees Off on Aug. 16

The inaugural Jim Murray Golf Classic, honoring the late Pulitzer Prize-winning Times sports columnist, will be played Aug. 16 at the Riviera Country Club in Brentwood.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Jim Murray Memorial Foundation, which will award a scholarship to a first-year college journalism student through a nationwide essay contest.
Golfers interested in playing can choose from three packages, priced from $1,000.
