Autobytel.com Names Marketing Exec

* Craig Ima has been named to the new position of director of database marketing for Autobytel.com, an Irvine-based online automotive company. Ima was previously director of marketing for Experian’s Automotive Information Services, where he managed marketing and was responsible for business strategies.

* Caryn Raphael has been appointed marketing director for Bob Siemon Designs in Santa Ana, a manufacturer of jewelry and gift products. Raphael has more than 15 years of marketing experience, most recently with ARV Assisted Living in Costa Mesa.

* Kevin Thorstenson has been appointed hotel manager for the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. He had been general manager at the Key Largo Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas.

* Gordon T. Walker has joined Western Dental Services Inc. in Garden Grove as vice president of sales and marketing. Walker had been president and chief executive of Future Call Group Inc. for three years, and before that was general manager and Western region division manager for Menu Magic Foods Inc.

* Larry Mathena has been appointed executive vice president of CT Realty Corp. in Newport Beach. He will retain the title of chief financial officer and general counsel. Marc S. Belluomini has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer. He was vice president of project operations.

* David M. Stastny has joined the board of directors of Smith Micro Software Inc. in Aliso Viejo. Stastny is the founder of Osprey Ventures LP, a venture capital fund.

* Raymond Parenteau has joined the Information Technology Services group of Haskell & White LLP, a Newport Beach accounting and business advisory firm. He has specialized in providing technology planning, project management and systems administration services to companies since 1982.

* Blake McKinney has been named brand/marketing services manager at James Hardie Building Products in Mission Viejo. He was previously vice president of client services at Campbell Communications in Dallas. Greg Stanmore was appointed marketing manager. Stanmore, who has been with the company since 1997, had been business development and planning manager.

* Richard R. Belyea has joined Comerica Bank-California as vice president of the California Environmental Risk Management group. He will be based in Costa Mesa. Belyea most recently held the position of vice president-assistant director of environmental risk management at Home Savings of America in Irwindale.

* Richard I. Tanaka has been appointed chief executive and chairman of the board of V-Systems Inc. in San Juan Capistrano. Before joining VSI, Tanaka was chief executive, chairman and president of Scan-Optics, and president of Lundy Electronics and Systems Inc.

* Steve Mothershed has been appointed manager of strategic initiatives at Xerox’s Orange County operations in Santa Ana. Mothershed has been with Xerox for 13 years.

* David M. Gralnik was named vice president of national real estate and institutional accounts for PG&E; Energy Services in Costa Mesa. Before joining the company in 1996, he was with Johnson Controls.

* Leslie M. Young has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Centris Risk Management Inc., a subsidiary of the Centris Group Inc. in Costa Mesa. Young succeeds Mark A. Carney, who has been appointed president of Centris’ USBenefits Insurance Services Inc. subsidiary. Young has served as vice president of operations for Centris Risk Management.

* Daniel J. Pedley has joined Brookfield Homes Southland in Costa Mesa as chief financial officer. He was formerly vice president, finance for Kaufman and Broad’s greater Los Angeles division, and also spent seven years with the Irvine Co.

* O. Bruce Selk has been named chief executive of Recycling Centers of America Inc. in Lake Forest, and Gordon Davies was appointed president. They succeed W.L. and Scott M. Briggs, who will concentrate on management of the company’s joint venture partnership, Energy & Material Recovery Inc.

* David Berenbeim has been named vice president and medical director at Prescription Solutions, the Costa Mesa subsidiary of PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. He joined PacifiCare in 1997 as medical director and vice president of health services for PacifiCare of Texas.

* Summer Heying has been appointed senior account executive at Morgan Marketing & Public Relations in Irvine. Before joining the firm in 1997 as an assistant account executive, she was an account coordinator for Shafer Public Relations in Irvine.
