CMGI Unit Gets Big Backers

CMGI Inc., an Internet venture-capital firm, said Dell Computer Corp. and Microsoft Corp. bought stakes in NaviSite, its Web-site services provider. Dell acquired a 4.9% stake in NaviSite and Microsoft took a 4.4% stake for undisclosed prices. In return, CMGI agreed to promote their products to NaviSite customers. Both agreements are nonexclusive.
