Wet Seal Annual Meeting May Offer Answers
- Share via
Shareholders with questions about Wet Seal Inc.’s volatile stock price or its rapidly expanding Arden B. chain might get some answers today at the Foothill Ranch-based company’s annual meeting. The retailer of young women’s clothing has struggled in recent months with a bouncing stock price that sank to a three-month low of $26.63 last week, after briefly hitting an all-time high of $47 on May 10. The stock closed Tuesday at $27.81, down 6 cents in Nasdaq trading. Analysts have attributed the drop to investor concern over slower-than-expected first-quarter sales. The company operates Wet Seal stores as well as Contempo Casuals, Arden B. and Limbo Lounge stores nationwide.
