“A 1998 Rochioli Sauvignon Blanc. It has a nice citrusy flavor and kind of a lemon drop finish to it. It’s really a fun wine to drink and goes extremely well with food. It’s a big, rich, full-flavored Sauvignon Blanc that has a nice texture to it. We took fresh Roma tomatoes and fresh basil and marinated them in olive oil--with a few capers and spices--for about three hours. Separately we put about six cloves of garlic into a half-cup of the wine, marinated some very large shrimp in it, then grilled the shrimp. We poured it all on top of fettuccine. And we ended up drinking two bottles of the Sauvignon Blanc with all of it.”
