The City Council is seeking to fill an upcoming vacancy on the city’s Recreation and Community Services Commission and an alternate position on the Senior Citizens Commission. The Recreation and Community Services Commission advises the City Council on acquisition, development and maintenance of public parks and recreational facilities. It meets at 7:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month. The Senior Citizens Commission advises the council on the city’s seniors and meets at 3 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month. Members must be Cypress residents and registered voters. Application forms are available at the Personnel Office, City Hall, 5275 Orange Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
